I am the music teacher at Lakeside Academy! I teach all the students in the building. I have been teaching for six years and I've spent all of that time at Lakeside! I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Education from Carson-Newman University and also earned my Master's of Arts in Teaching at CNU. When I'm not at school I love baking, going to the movies, and reading all kinds of books! My husband (Mr. Mullins) and I live in the HWY 58 area. We both enjoy traveling and eating Mexican food.

In music class I expect all students to be willing to take risks and I encourage them to be their most creative self! I try to create a safe place for students to feel comfortable taking those risks. I don't ask students to be the most talented, or the world's best singer, I simply ask them to try.

We follow the Lakeside rules: be respectful, be responsible, and be safe.
In music we respect instruments and other performers.
In music we are responsible with our materials and our voices.
In music we are safe when we are moving around the room and playing instruments.

We make music everyday!
Fifth graders are writing songs in partnership with the Country Music Hall of Fame!
Fourth graders are in the beginning stages of playing recorders!
Second and third graders are prepping for our Black History Month Project!
Kindergartners and first graders are busy finding the joy in making music!
